1. Consider the importance of factorial designs and recognize what is meant by a main and interaction effect.

2. Identify main and interaction effects from figures and ANOVA tables.

3. Compute a Factorial analysis of variance and produce an ANOVA table for a 2 by 2 design.

4. Use SPSS to compute a two way ANOVA.

5. Using the means and an ANOVA table, create and interpret graphs that illustrate the findings.

6.  Compute effect sizes for variables and interactions of variables.

7. Recognize the purpose and differences in repeated measures and three or more factor designs.
