Problem #64

This month's problem has two parts.

1. In a cryptarithm, numbers are represented by replacing their digits by letters; a given letter consistently represents the same digit and different letters represent different digits. Leading zeroes are not permitted. Solve the following cryptarithm with the additional restriction that IDEA is even.

                       S A M S
                       I D E A
                       M A D E
                   ___________

                     S E N S E

2. What if the restriction on IDEA is dropped?
