Problem #4

Clearly, the largest square which can be covered with four 1 x 1 squares is a 2 x 2 square. What is the largest square which can be covered with three 1 x 1 squares? The three squares must be left intact (i.e. you are not allowed to cut them up), but they are allowed to overlap.
