Deeply honored to be collaborating with UC Berkeley Materials Science & Engineering Professor and the Director of Molecular Foundry Dr. Kristin A. Persson and her research group at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. this upcoming summer as a part of visiting faculty program supported by Dept. of Energy (DoE). We will be applying The Materials Project database and platforms to accelerate the materials discoveries to support our on-going computational research projects at Missouri State funded by the DoE and NSF grants. #collaborationworks!

Our group member Bikash Timalsina was awarded 2021 Outstanding Graduate Student for Research from our Dept. Bikash received multiple RA offers and decided to pursue Ph.D. at @floridastate , home of @NationalMagLab. I'd like also to congratulate Sajal Islam on his award for teaching. Great job everyone!

Justin Freres from the Dept. of Information Technology and Cybersecurity @MOStateCOB teamed up with Tyler McGilvry-James and presented their research work in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to identify microstructural defects at the NASA-MOSGC annual meeting. The project is a part of our group collaboration with Prof. Sheryl Brahnam from the College of Business at our school.
