The following are among the many publishers of books on the subject of youth violence and gangs. When you get to their website, you may need to use their Search function and keywords such as "youth violence" (be sure to insert quotation marks for any search using two or more words that you want to appear together), gang, "youth gang", "troubled youth", delinquency, delinquent, "juvenile delinquency", "street gang", etc.

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)
The OJJDP aggressively pursues new knowledge about all forms of juvenile delinquency in the United States and funds many studies. The research findings are found in many of their publications.
The National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS)
The NCJRS is a depository for thousands of publications. The page to which you will be taken when you click above is a listing of material available on gangs only. If you look along the left margin of the page you will find other categories of publications which you may find of interest.
National Gang Crime Research Center
The NGCRC exists as a non-profit independent agency with the mission statement to: (1) Carry out large-scale research on gangs and gang members, (2) To disseminate up-to-date valid and reliable information about gangs and gang problems through the official publication of the NGCRC, the Journal of Gang Research, and, (3) To provide training and consulting services about gangs.
